Just two days after celebrating his 40th birthday, Cristiano Ronaldo found the back of the net to help Al Nassr secure a 3-0 victory over Al Feiha in the 19th round of the Saudi Pro League.
Ronaldo was in outstanding form in his first match following his milestone birthday. The Portuguese forward touched the ball 33 times, completed 96% of his passes, and took four shots before being substituted for Mohammed Khalil Marran in the 84th minute.
The breakthrough moment came in the 74th minute when Nawaf Boushal played a cross, allowing Ronaldo to curl a shot into the far corner, leaving goalkeeper Orlando Mosquera stranded. In that explosive moment, the 40-year-old sprinted from midfield, burst past defenders, and fired an unbelievable strike that sealed the 3-0 win. With this goal, Ronaldo became the first player over 40 to score from open play in the Saudi Pro League.
In the stands, his mother, Maria Dolores Aveiro, rose to her feet, clapping and laughing joyfully at her son’s achievement. On the pitch, Ronaldo celebrated in his trademark fashion—rushing to the corner flag and performing a familiar spin before pointing toward the section where his mother was seated.
This goal brought Ronaldo’s career tally to 924 goals, which includes 5 for Sporting Lisbon, 145 for Manchester United, 450 for Real Madrid, 101 for Juventus, 135 for the Portugal national team, and 88 for Al Nassr. In the Saudi Pro League, he has now scored 65 goals in 65 matches, and he continues to lead the season’s scoring charts with 16 goals—well ahead of his former teammate Karim Benzema at Al Ittihad, who has netted only two.

After the match, Ronaldo shared three photos from the game on social media along with the message, “Victory and my first goal after turning 40.”
However, Ronaldo was not the only standout on display at Mrsool Park on February 7. New signing Jhon Duran, valued at 80 million USD, dazzled on his debut by scoring a brace. In the 22nd minute, after Sadio Mane lost the ball, Duran charged into the box and fired a shot into the near corner to open the scoring. Then, in the 72nd minute, Mane once again burst down the left wing and delivered a cross for Duran to finish with a one-touch goal, completing his double.
With the 3-0 win, Al Nassr remain in third place in the Saudi Pro League with 41 points, trailing Al Hilal by five points and Al Ittihad by eight. Looking ahead, on February 13, Ronaldo will be on the road against Al Ahli—a club boasting a star-studded lineup that includes Ivan Toney, Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino, Edouard Mendy, Gabri Veiga, Merih Demiral, and Franck Kessie.
