Lindsey Vonn 10th fastest in practice for first World Cup downhill in six years

Lindsey Vonn was 10th fastest in a readiness run on Thursday for her most memorable World Cup downhill in a long time.

Three weeks after the 40-year-old’s Existence Cup bounce back in a super-G, Vonn completed the 2km Karl Schranz course 2.55 seconds behind Federica Brignone of Italy. The American, who is hustling on a titanium knee, was coordinated at close to 68 mph at a fast piece of the slant where she won a declining in December 2007.
A resulting practice is pushed toward Friday before the race on Saturday.

Vonn has won 43 World Cup downhills – a record for individuals – among her 82 work wins, a hard and fast that contributes her third on the all-energy list. Mikaela Shiffrin, who is recovering after a mishap at a race last month, has 99 and Ingemar Stenmark won 86 during the 1970s and 1980s. Vonn was similarly the Olympic downhill legend at the 2010 Games in Vancouver.
